Textbooks

Math 1A Calculus:
OpenStax Calculus Volume 1
OpenStax Calculus Volume 2

1B, 1C Calculus:
Stewart Calculus Early Transcendentals, 9th Edition

Note the following future changes:

Some Calculus courses will be using XYZ Homework which is a cost of $45 (more in the bookstore) but the access is good for any course using XYZ Homework for multiple semesters.

The OpenStax books are all available digitally for free and there are multiple copies at the Reserve desk in the library, but you are also able to purchase printed copies if you want to either online or from the bookstore. Purchasing the textbook is entirely optional.

All other textbooks are determined for each section by the individual instructor.

Courses using the OpenStax textbooks or other Open Educational Resources (OER) textbooks will either be Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) courses or be using low cost homework systems ($50 or less) 

Calculators

In general, graphing calculators are required for all courses except Elementary Algebra (Math 150A/B, 151). The various TI calculators are recommended. Most courses require that the calculator not have a computer algebra system. See instructor for specific requirements and recommendations.

There are calculators available to borrow for the semester from SRJC libraries.
